Industrial Decarbonization Startup AtmosZero Raises $21 Million for Zero Carbon Emissions Steam Solution

Cleantech startup AtmosZero broadcasted that it has raised $21 million, with proceeds to be practiced to commercialize its solution to handle industrial releases by decarbonizing industrial steam.

Industrial steam, cast-off in industries extending from food and beverage manufacture to chemical production and across the constructed environment, accounts for nearly 15% of trade energy usage and is produced mainly through burning fossil fuels.

Spun out of a scheme at Colorado State University in 2021, AtmosZero has established Boiler 2.0, a segmental electrified boiler that practices heat from the air to create high-temperature steam with extreme efficiency and zero carbon releases. According to the corporation, the solution is significantly more well-organized than existing electric boilers, consuming half of the electricity, and is a drop-in arrangement, letting companies swap their existing natural gas and oil boilers swiftly and profitably.
Their vision is to eradicate global discharges from fossil-fueled boilers. The investment today from foremost United States and European investors is a marvelous validation of their expertise and tactic to eradicating Scope 1 boiler emissions.

Last year, AtmosZero revealed a strategic corporation with New Belgium Brewing Corporation that comprises a full-scale pilot at New Belgium’s flagship capability. Moreover, the company presented its European subsidiary, AtmosZero Europe, B.V., grounded in Amsterdam. AtmosZero will practice this investment to advance both efforts together with executing the marketable pilot and growing the corporation’s European
Partner and Co-Founder of 2150, Christian Hernandez Gallardo, further added that Industrial process heat in the formula of steam is indispensable for businesses spanning food and beverage through to region heating and is in charge of over 2 gigatons of carbon dioxide every year. They were in search of a solution that could solve the vast influence potential in this market, with a contribution that was a pecuniary no-brainer to clients.

In addition to the Series A funding, AtmosZero company was freshly awarded a $3.2 million grant from the United States Division of Energy’s Industrial Efficiency and Decarbonization Office (IEDO) intended to rapidly decarbonize America’s industrial segment.
