German Startup secures €1.75 million funding as it brings SaaS to package recycling

Recyda, a German startup specialising in SaaS platform for package recycling, has secured €1.75 million in funding.

Recyda was founded in 2020 by Vivian Loftin, Anna Zießow, and Christian Knobloch. The company offers a SaaS (Software as a Service) platform for businesses and brands that allows them to evaluate the recyclability of their packaging according to global regulations. With the new funding, Recyda will be able to expand its services and grow its customer base globally.

The funding round was led by two investors, Speedinvest and Futury Capital, with Futury Capital having invested in the company’s pre-seed round in 2021. Additionally, several other investors participated, including angel investors Dr. Stephan Rohr (TWAICE), Benedikt Franke (Helpling Group), and Martin Weber (one • fıve), as well as the Auxxo Female Catalyst Fund.

“Behind our software are not only first-class investors, but also an incredible amount of know-how and drive in software development. With the new capital, we can bring more talent on board to implement new ideas and customer wishes,” says Anna Zießow, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Recyda.

“We know the current challenges of the packaging industry very well and the numerous difficulties that companies are currently facing. With this knowledge, we have developed a software solution that specifically supports the implementation of sustainable packaging solution requirements for different markets and significantly optimises reporting obligations. With our software, we want to contribute to a sustainable future in which resources are used sensibly and valuable materials are kept in the cycle,” says Christian Knobloch, co-founder and co-CEO of Recyda.
