VINCI Invests $15 Million in Hydrogen-Powered Taxi Operator Hype

VINCI Concessions, a global player in the development and management of transport infrastructure, has completed a €15 million investment in Hype, the creator of France’s first integrated hydrogen mobility platform and operator of a large hydrogen taxi fleet. In addition to this investment, VINCI Concessions and Hype have formed a strategic partnership to expedite the deployment of hydrogen mobility infrastructure in France and around the globe.

As part of this partnership, Hype will commission VINCI Energies to construct new infrastructure for the production and distribution of hydrogen in the Greater Paris area. In the next three years, it is anticipated that 26 hydrogen refuelling stations, including 20 with a capacity of 1 tonne per day, will open to the public.

In addition, VINCI Concessions will leverage its resources to assist Hype in deploying its network of stations in other regions of France and beyond, including by leveraging VINCI Energies’ hydrogen expertise.
