Vedanta Aluminium has achieved second place in the S&P Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) for the aluminium industry assessment period of FY 21–22. This ranking is based on the company’s performance in terms of economic, environmental, and social sustainability criteria.
Vedanta Aluminium has risen from fourth to second place in the S&P DJSI. This makes the company the world’s second most environmentally friendly aluminium producer. The ranking is based on an annual evaluation of sustainability practices among over 10,000 companies from various industries, with only the most environmentally friendly companies being included.
Vedanta Aluminium, including Cybersecurity, Environment Reporting, Environmental Policy & Management Systems, Social Reporting, Labour Practice Indicators, Human Capital Development, Talent Attraction & Retention, Customer Relationship Management, and Social Impact on Communities, met many Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) criteria.
