Climate Week NYC stands as the premier annual event in the realm of climate action, uniting around 400 events and activities within the expanse of New York City. Through a blend of physical, hybrid, and digital formats, this weeklong gathering draws together a diverse array of participants. Playing host to this impactful gathering is the Climate Group, a global nonprofit organization dedicated to accelerating climate action. The week’s official program, orchestrated by the Climate Group, serves as a nexus for prominent figures spanning business, government, civil society, and the climate sector on an international scale.

This year’s iteration of Climate Week NYC is slated for September 17-24, 2023. Orchestrated in partnership with the United Nations General Assembly, the event occurs in coordination with the United Nations and the City of New York.

The event’s core activities encompass an extensive range of nearly 400 events and activities held throughout New York City. These proceedings will be accessible through various channels, with key sessions streamed online for remote participation. The lineup includes entirely digital events incorporated into the program.

A pivotal moment within the week is the Climate Week NYC Opening Ceremony, scheduled for September 17. This ceremony commands considerable attention and features substantial announcements, dialogues, and conversations with global leaders hailing from business, government, and the climate community. Distinguished figures such as Prince Charles, Tim Cook, Jacinda Ardern, Kristalina Georgieva, and others have graced the stage in past editions.

The Opening Ceremony this year will grapple with three fundamental queries:

2. While solutions to the climate crisis are available, how can they be effectively implemented?
3. What strides have been made, and how can the collective determination of the climate community continue to drive meaningful climate action?

Spanning September 18 and 19, 2023, the Climate Group hosts The Hub Live, gathering over 1,000 influential leaders from various sectors. This segment comprises sessions addressing key themes, yet to be disclosed.
