Based in Toronto, a startup called Carbon Neutral Club has raised CAD $1.4M in a funding round led by Emend Vision Fund, Blue Vision Capital, and Good News Ventures. The company aims to incorporate climate action into the modern employee experience by providing organizations of all sizes with tools, education, and incentives to help them achieve their climate targets.
Their Sustainable Behaviors Platform integrates climate objectives and tactical behaviour change opportunities seamlessly into the workday, rewarding employees for making changes that drive corporate carbon reduction targets.
Carbon Neutral Club aims to empower the workforce, who are often responsible for the most significant portion of Scope 3 corporate emissions, to improve the likelihood that corporate climate targets are met. Over the past year, the company has expanded rapidly and attracted clients from various industries. The capital infusion will be used to expand globally and increase the company’s impact tenfold over the next two years.
