FMC commits $30.5 million to UN Zero Hunger Private Sector Pledge

FMC Corporation pledged $30.5 million to the Zero Hunger Private Sector Pledge, an initiative tied to the UN Sustainable Development Goal of achieving Zero Hunger by 2030 and emerging from the UN Food Systems Summit Action Track 1. The commitment funds precision agriculture, climate-resilient technologies and digital tools for smallholder farmers, rural women and youth. FMC will launch its Arc farm intelligence platform, providing real-time pest data, in countries including India, Pakistan, Indonesia, the Philippines and others by 2030 at no cost to farmers.

Smallholder farmers across the Asia Pacific region, including India, are directly targeted. FMC's Sustainable, Transformational Initiative toward Development (STRIDE) program, launched in India, Pakistan and the Philippines, aims to improve access to crop protection technologies and extension services for more than 175,000 smallholder farmers within three years. In India specifically, FMC is partnering with G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology to train rural women in beekeeping as a sustainable income source. Free Arc platform equipment supports historically underserved farmers.
