Josielyn Luna-Manuel has joined the Institute for Energy Economics and Financial Analysis as Communications and Outreach Specialist for Asia, bringing nearly 14 years of editorial leadership experience from BusinessWorld, the Philippines' most trusted business newspaper. Her role focuses on amplifying IEEFA's Asia research to support the region's transition to zero-emissions energy.

Luna-Manuel spent nearly 14 years at BusinessWorld, where she led multimedia projects covering diverse industries and collaborated with major local and global companies and organisations, featuring senior private and public sector officials. She is a cum laude graduate in Journalism from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines and a former advertising industry scholar. Her editorial background spans content strategy, communications leadership, and large-scale industry coverage across the Philippine business landscape.

Her appointment reflects IEEFA's strategy of embedding strong communications capacity within its Asia research team to ensure that energy transition analysis reaches and influences the policymakers, financial institutions, and industry leaders who drive capital allocation decisions in the region. The Asia team's research agenda covers LNG markets, coal transition risks, clean energy financing, and India's electrification challenge, areas requiring effective translation of technical findings for diverse audiences.
