India has taken a significant step toward inclusive education with the signing of a strategic pact between Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) and the National Scheduled Tribes Finance and Development Corporation (NSTFDC). The collaboration focuses on expanding digital learning access for tribal students across the country, addressing long-standing education and digital divide challenges in remote and underserved regions.
The ONGC–NSTFDC digital learning initiative aims to benefit 35,000 tribal students through structured digital education support. The programme will deploy smart classrooms, e-learning modules, tablets, and online academic resources, enabling students to access quality learning materials regardless of geographic constraints. The initiative aligns with India’s national priorities on digital inclusion and education equity.
Under the agreement, ONGC will provide financial and technical support through its Corporate Social Responsibility framework, while NSTFDC will oversee implementation and beneficiary outreach.
