Sustaira Launches Industry-Specific Sustainability Suites Across Seven Sectors
Sustainability platform Sustaira has launched a new series of Industry-Specific Sustainability Suites, offering modular, AI-powered solutions tailored to the decarbonisation, climate risk and reporting needs of seven sectors including Industrial, Construction, Energy and Utilities, Finance, Education and Public Sector, Logistics, and Consumer Goods and Retail. The launch aims to address the gap between generic off-the-shelf platforms and costly custom-built tools.
The new suites use a modular, AI-powered building block architecture, with each suite designed to tackle the most pressing sustainability challenges specific to its sector. The Finance Sustainability Suite includes emissions calculators aligned with the Partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials framework, while the Construction Sustainability Suite incorporates contractor-specific data aggregation and reporting capabilities. Sustaira said the platform's pre-built connectors enable integration with systems including IBM Envizi, Workiva, Microsoft, Salesforce, SAP and others.
Sustaira's chief sustainability lead Rory O'Sullivan noted that many sustainability teams are forced to rely on error-prone spreadsheets and manual calculations to adapt rigid generic platforms to their specific business models. The vertically specialised approach allows the solution to adapt to individual sector requirements rather than requiring companies to adapt to the platform. This addresses a persistent challenge in enterprise sustainability technology, where one-size-fits-all approaches have limited adoption and data quality.
Sustaira plans to add Healthcare, Telecommunication and Real Estate suites in 2026, along with specialised domains including Water and Waste Stewardship and Risk and Resilience. The platform's sector-specific approach reflects a maturation of the sustainability software market as companies move beyond basic carbon accounting toward more integrated, operationally embedded sustainability management. For Indian industrial, financial and logistics companies facing growing mandatory disclosure requirements, industry-specific tools offer a more relevant starting point.
