Zevero Acquires Inhabit to Expand Sustainability Advisory and Carbon Accounting Platform

Carbon accounting startup Zevero has acquired UK-based sustainability solutions provider Inhabit, with the deal aimed at expanding Zevero's advisory capabilities and deepening its ability to deliver practical decarbonisation services to clients. Inhabit customers will gain access to Zevero's AI-powered carbon accounting platform, including enhanced automation, reporting, and data visualisation.

Founded in 2019, Inhabit provides tools and services for decarbonisation and net-zero strategy, covering carbon measurement, reporting, and practical decarbonisation planning. Zevero was founded in 2021 and was acquired in 2024 by Singapore-based climate tech company LEVELUP, with both companies merging under the Zevero brand. The acquisition of Inhabit builds on this foundation, extending Zevero's platform with Inhabit's client relationships and advisory expertise in the UK market.

Under the agreement, Zevero will support portfolios previously served by Inhabit through a phased onboarding process to ensure continuity of service for existing clients. Inhabit's co-founder and CEO Sam McKay said customers will benefit from Zevero's advanced platform capabilities while maintaining continuity with the Inhabit team. The deal reflects a broader trend of consolidation in the sustainability software and advisory market, where larger platforms are acquiring smaller advisory practices to offer integrated measurement and consulting services.
